PYDOPRIHORA I. I. Formation of the image of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by means of informational and propaganda support in conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict
The article deals with the issue of forming the image of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the conditions of constant reform and the Russo-Ukrainian conflict.
Author is determined the place of informational and propaganda support in shaping the image of the Armed Forces. According to contemporary researchers, the image of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, information and propaganda support in modern conditions contributes to the formation of the corporate image of the Armed Forces. The corporate image accumulates the ideal image of the serviceman in the public consciousness, the positive image of the military leader in the minds of the soldiers, the team spirit (the identification of a serviceman with a particular military team and the Armed Forces in general).
The tasks of advocacy are the formation of the outlook of servicemen, the formation of group cohesion (corporate spirit), the improvement of the image of officers, the creation of a positive perception of military units.
It was noted that the hybrid Russo-Ukrainian conflict led to an intensification of information of troops, forcing them to look for more effective forms and methods of information, to rely on NATO standards. The system of information and propaganda support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is transformed in accordance with new standards. There are changes in the tactical level to strengthen trust in all levels of governance. The main kind of communication in terms of carrying out combat tasks is the exchange of information between the commander and subordinates - command and combat information, analysis of the actions.
Problems in the organization of information of troops generated by the specific conditions of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict are outlined. Among them, the need to strengthen national patriotic work, the formation of media literacy of servicemen, overcoming conflict situations in communicating commanders with mobilized soldiers, the problem with organization of personnel recreation.
The main tendencies of image formation with the help of informational and propaganda support in the conditions of reformation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during 1991-2013 and the Russo-Ukrainian conflict were determined.
